We don’t mean to be a party pooper, but there are just some items that you cannot ship from China to South Africa when consolidating with Airpool. To make sure that you don’t run into any trouble, read through our guide on contraband items.
Hey – we don’t mean to ruin any fun! But, the truth is, there are categories of goods that we cannot (by law) ship from China into South Africa. This is for the safety of all parties involved.
If you’re using Airpool for the first time or if you’re considering a new import, this guide will show you precisely which goods you can and cannot ship into South Africa using our services. Nobody wants their shipment seized at customs, right? Let’s work together to prevent that from happening!
First, let’s answer the question:
We’re so glad you asked. According to the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), dangerous goods are defined as “articles or substances which are capable of posing a risk to health, safety, property, or the environment.”
If the goods in question can harm people, buildings, or the environmental health of an ecosystem, then you need to exercise extreme caution before attempting to ship them from China to South Africa.
We’ve loosely organised the list of contraband items under their own headings, but you can always read a comprehensive list of banned items on our website.
